2006 signalled a remarkable merger between three of the best known Queensland owned and operated companies in the agricultural and construction equipment business:
Black Kubota, Tracforce and Gillespies Tractors.
The result, Black-Trac, has become a powerful mover and shaker in the agricultural and construction machinery industry in South East Queensland.
Prior to the merger Black Kubota was one of Australia's largest Kubota dealerships. It was a Brisbane-based company established by Craig Black, a respected businessman throughout the motor vehicle industry and founder of the Black Toyota Group.
Craig said "the merger of these dealerships with our existing Kubota business provided an opportunity to develop a business model with a good geographical spread and supported by strong well respected franchises offered by New Holland and Kubota. Black-Trac is now able to provide a greater range of product and premium levels of support to our customers as well as a range of additional opportunities for our staff."
The other driving forces in the merger to form Black-Trac came from the Rocklea based New Holland Agricultural & Construction Dealer Tracforce with 12 years of proven performance setting high industry standards and Caboolture based New Holland and Kubota Agricultural Dealership Gillespie's Tractors.
Since the merger Black-Trac has been supplying and servicing agricultural and construction machinery to both existing and new customers from their three successful branches at Archerfield, Cabooluture and Beaudesert.
